How the IHM Categorization Tool works

A five-step workflow combining automated extraction, AI-assisted classification and competent expert review, from raw procurement data to a prioritised documentation list.

Preparation

Prepare Order List

Prepare your order items with the official IHM CAT input template: one Input Excel File (.xlsx), up to 15 MB and 25,000 rows, with a worksheet named Input and exactly two columns, Article description and Supplier Name. For a sample analysis, you can upload the full list; the first 25 eligible, non-duplicate items are analysed

Use the required file structure and do not rename the required columns or worksheet.

Fill in the request form, select the processing tier (default EU-Only), upload your file, and confirm you are authorised.

EU-Only (Tier A): applies an EU-resident processing restriction. Processing starts only when the configured route satisfies that restriction. Standard (Tier B): permits an approved alternative route only after the required authorisation and applicable processing conditions are recorded.

Data Classification

Extraction & AI-Assisted Classification

The tool extracts the supplier name and item description and uses AI-assisted screening to assess each item against IHM-relevancy criteria. Items are labelled RELEVANT, NOT RELEVANT, ADDITIONAL or FOR HUMAN REVIEW.

Extraction occurs server-side. The original file is stored on EU infrastructure and is subject to the applicable retention period and any legal hold. Company identity and the remaining workbook fields are not required for screening.

Quality Review

Competent Expert Review

Classifications are checked, and confirmed, adjusted or reclassified where needed, with notes where relevant. Quality assurance: every result is checked before it is released

The review is an integral part of the process. It applies professional IHM knowledge that automated screening alone may not capture.

Delivery

Receive Your Results

An administrator explicitly releases the reviewed result to the company portal. The company can then access the released result.

The result provides decision support for supplier-documentation follow-up. It does not constitute regulatory compliance approval, a Material Declaration, a Supplier’s Declaration of Conformity or legal advice.

This analysis is produced with AI-assisted screening and competent expert review. It provides decision support and does not constitute final compliance approval. The client remains responsible for its IHM obligations.
